Just a warning, this phone does not have Wi-Fi as the item description says. I didn't anyone else getting it based on that and being disappointed.

The seller said it was new in box, it was in box the box had been opened.The box says, this package contains, blackberry pearl flip 8230 smartphone, standard lithium battery, 3.5 stereo headset,blackberry travel charger, USB data cable, documentation kit(including user tools CD) VZAccess manager CD-ROM and Quick reference guide. Of
those nine items listed I only got the phone, battery,wall charger,manager CD-Rom and the quick reference guide. I can't get the phone to work right I have made four calls to Verizon spent several hours on the phone with them and still can't use the phone.
I am most unhappy.

I recently bought this case for my new iphone 4. I originally had a cheap plastic case from one of those carts in the mall. After my brother had this case in black and recommended it I decided to give it a try. It's a great case and I really like the color.
The good from my perspective:
It's slick back makes it easy to pull out of my man pockets.
The case has three button covers one on top over the sleep button and two on the side for the two volume control buttons. For me this is good but it is also bad because they are all pretty stiff right now because I just got the case. Hopefully they will loosen up.
Great color, feels like a firm case.
The bad from my perspective:
The flip back feature is not all it's cracked up to be. First the case itself has a gap on the front so it can allow the case to flip back. Not that it's that big of a deal to me as it is a very small slit. (you can barely see it in the photo, but look towards the bottom). Also the flip feature is cool but not very practical. It seems sturdy enough, but I wouldn't want to knock my phone off from wherever it is with the bottom half exposed.
The biggest problem with this case is it doesn't fit into my iHome. I know a lot of people might not have or use an iHome but I plug my phone into it every night because I have it on my nightstand. It doesn't fit with the case on so I have to take the case off. It seems to fit on all the other plugs I have including my car charger. So unless you have an iHome, not that big of deal, for me it is.
Overall I'm satisfied with the case which is why I will keep it. I like it a lot and even though it doesn't fit my iHome I can manage.

This had to be returned. The power button on the top of the iPhone 4 was depressed by the rubber cover on the case and kept powering down the phone constantly. It's too bad. The regular Speck CandyShell Case is wonderful, but I was looking forward to the docking capabilities of the flip case. Oh well. Back to the Speck CandyShell Case.

Very adorable case and the concept is wonderful, just wish the magnet was a bit stronger! Other then that its cute! And those that whine about the smell, come on, they have to use certain things to make the case and its not gonna smell like strawberries! Its fine, the smell will go away after a while!

The seller of this case was excellent. Product arrived on time. When I opened the package the case had a very chemical like smell to it. When I tried to take pictures the pink from the case showed up in my photos. Almost like the picture was washed in pink. I returned the case.

I also purchased this case in an ATT;T store. Boy that was a mistake. It certainly cost more than it would on Amazon and I wasn't able to inspect it before purchasing it. But I wanted instant protection for my 3G 16GB.
I've been pleased with the protection it provides and it fits very snugly in the case. The buttons and charge port are readily accessible. The silence switch is the only button that is not covered when the case is closed which is as it should be. The microphone and speaker are exposed which is good.
The major problem I have with this case is the velcro closure. Velcro is noisy in a quiet room and the barbed (rough) side of the velcro on the flap has already begun to fray the stitching that surrounds the soft side of the velcro on the face side. I've only been using it for a few days.
The leather is thicker than needed. The case does not add significant girth widthwise. However in terms of depth the size is nearly doubled. (The 3G iPhone is 1.2 cm deep (0.48") without the case; when the phone is in the case the width is 2.3 cm (0.94"). Width is a concern because you must carry this in your pocket or purse--since, there is no belt loop or clip.
Also for this reason, it would be nice if there were a loop to attach a lariat or tether to a wrist strap. But there isn't one. One could be improvised but that would be unsightly and of questionable utility.
Also, there is a pocket in the flap that is so tight you can barely fit only 2 business cards or a single credit card or ID in it.
If you have large fingers, you will find it difficult to access the virtual buttons on the edges of the screen without a stylus. When swiping left and right, you will continually run your finger into the leather that perfectly surrounds the touch screen making it harder to use the phone.
For the price, it is aesthetically pleasing (looks nice) but functionally, it leaves much to be desired.

This cover provies an excellent grip to my new iphone 3GS 32Gb, and provides good protection, safety nd doesnt hamper any functionality. i can charge, listem music through audio port, and do anything without having to take the phone out of cover. And of course, the looks of the phone get hidden upto some extent, which is true for any cover. for my last iphone 2G 16GB, i was more concerned about looks, so i got only a cover which was protecting the back of the phone, but front screen was not protected against shocks(though i had put up screeen protector for scracthes), but when i dropped the phone accidently, i had to pay for the broken screen !
this cover provides full protection, and ease of use at same time !

Just what I was looking for. I was looking for a wallet-type cover that didn't inhibit any of the iPhone features and this fit the bill. I did, however, rip out the seam on the wallet side to create a pocket to hold bills/money.

Cute little red cover. Works good and stays closed. It didn't hold the phone as tight as the flip type cover. You need to fold it back to talk on the phone, which isn't hard to get used to.

I went through a few non-flip cases which were ok but I wasn't happy with the screen protectors nor did I really feel the phone was safe, especially in a pocket with other items or a car key. I can understand that some people feel that a flip case is too much hassle to open but it works for me. If you know you want a flip case this is a good minimalist choice. The case is very thin so it takes up very little extra space (important to me) but you need to realize it isn't going to protect as well as a thicker case if you drop the phone on a hard surface. If you dropped it from hand height on concrete I'd imagine damage would be a strong possibility; however, I'd take it by a long shot over nothing. For this case your priority should be to avoid scratching and small bumps...it does this well. The leather is stiff for its thickness which is good because it's more like a normal thin case. The flip cover will fold all the way backward if you don't like it hanging (but I'd wonder if constant use like that might wear the leather hinge-flap...it's just a piece of softer leather). Other good points are that the case does not cover the speakers or controls. The camera opening is there and looks ok but I haven't used it yet so cannot comment on any subtle issues. The leather seems like good quality but isn't up to, say, the higher-end thicker cover I have on my ipad -- by that I mean the luster is a bit lower compared to really nice expensive leather...however this case is [and needs to be] a stiffer leather so that may be why. It just doesn't reek of high quality leather if that's what you want but most if not all cases like that tend to be much thicker. The latch mechanism is pretty good -- easy to open and it stays put (could be a wear point but so far so good). Due to the softer leather hinge the cover can slide very slightly from side to side if you push it but it doesn't seem to harm anything and it doesn't move enough to expose the display at all. Overall I'm very happy with the case and I think you would be hard pressed to find a leather flip case this thin that is nicer.

I really love this case. I wanted a case that protects all surfaces of the phone from contact with stuff in my pockets and hopefully give it a fighting chance against the odd drop. And I am not a big fan of the screen protectors (mostly due to my own inability to get them on properly). So a flip-type case looked like a good solution. And so far - I've very happy with this particular case.
Here's what I like:
- Nice, tight fit on my iPhone (4S).
- Does not add much thickness to the overall size
- Inside of the case is a nice soft fabric
- Outside leather has a nice, quality feel
- Cover stays closed - but is easy to open. It just uses friction against the top of the phone.
- Flipping the cover back on itself and setting the phone on my desk gives a slight angle for easier viewing.
The only downside is that flash pictures have some bounce-back light pollution - like pretty much every case that has holes for the camera and flash on the back.

Here is my video unboxing and review of the Casecrown Carbon Fiber Flip Case for the iPhone 4 ... I really like it! This video shows packaging, the texture of the leather and the "fit." The only negative is that (like the previous reviewer noted) when using flash camera, the camera opening is not quite large enough so it creates a flash reflection on the picture -- just slide the iPhone out of the case a little bit to solve the problem.

While this case is sturdy and protects the phone well, leaving all buttons easily accessible, there is one problem: the flap does not fold all the way back. Therefore, typing on the iPhone in landscape mode (as I normally do) becomes uncomfortable and a bit difficult. Taking the phone out of the case solves the problem, of course. But that's not what I have the cae for.
I would suggest the seller clearly indicate that the flap does not fold fully back.

There was no feedback about this item when I bought it, so I was taking a risk, but it had the features I wanted and was cheap enough even with shipping to give it a try. So far, I am enjoying it very much. It fits my ipod touch perfectly and it also has a hole for the camera. My last case didn't have a hole for the camera and I was constantly having to pull it out of the case to take photos or videos. It also keeps the ipod snugly in the case because the ipod clicks in to the plastic shell that is glued to the leather. If this glue comes loose, which it looks like it might, I will just superglue it back together.

This case is excellent. It really looks and feels as very expensive, yet it is so cheap. My ipod fits perfectly and it is protected and elegant!

Background: If you do your research on this phone (and other BlackBerry's) you will note that many people talk about the bugs/problems, etc. Many of these complaints are hardware based (bad chips, etc) NOT software based (although it may seem so).
Make sure that if you buy it, you can return it (if bad) with no hassles/restocking fees (example: Amazon and sold by Amazon).
Condition: Mines was like new (with covered screens), original box, USB cable, power cable, original CD (there's and update online), headset and small instruction booklet (does not look original). Mines had no software/hardware issues (no rebooting, no Bluetooth issues, no slowdowns, etc).
The advantages in general of the blackberry's are the great screen (geared for text readers) and the keyboard.
The bad is the Blackberry "WiFi situation": they want you to buy the "blackberry internet plan" which is a hookup with your cell phone provider. Cell phone providers will have different names for this plan but note that it will cost you in the US around $15-$20. If you have a prepaid plan they will tell you the plan is not available (unless you have a monthly plan). I don't recommend this plan (if you can get it) because I consider it a ripoff. That will probably be the biggest issue with this phone (and all blackberry's).
The workaround: If you want to use Wi-Fi they will use a combination of WiFi and GPRS/EDGE. For example when you try to use the BlackBerry GMail app from Google you will be able to install it halfway but when it tries to connect it will tell you, you need a connection. If you disable your data connection (GPRS/EDGE) you will get the same result and so on and so forth with different applications.
To get around this BlackBerry Wi-Fi situation you have to get applications that are not exactly BlueBerry approved (and you will probably not see in their new store) that allow you to use Wi-Fi ONLY and not a combination Wi-Fi/GRPS/EDGE (again they use EDGE/GPRS to check if you have the BlackBerry Plan if you don't they don't give you access). For example for GMail I use LogicMail (uses Wi-Fi only), UberTwitter, Opera Mini, Yahoo Mail (you have to use their website) with the Opera Mini browser because you won't be able to use it with the BlackBerry browser (these are the only ones I found that I installed).
Final review: Great phone, almost perfect form factor and screen (recommended 7 point font), almost perfect for SMS/MMS/emailing. Wi-Fi, Keyboard is better than a standard number keyboard but NOT better than a full keyboard (of course). If you can deal with the Wi-Fi issue (and sub par and very limited apps compared to the IPhone or even Windows Mobile phone) then this is a GREAT phone!

This is the second time I buy this phone model cause I really like it, I've found it very easy to use, the camera has flash which is not always available in more recent blackberry models, I haven't use the bluetooth function (in other reviews says it doesn't work) but the other functions works perfectly.

I recently bought this case for my new iphone 4. I originally had a cheap plastic case from one of those carts in the mall. After my brother had this case in black and recommended it I decided to give it a try. It's a great case and I really like the color.
The good from my perspective:
It's slick back makes it easy to pull out of my man pockets.
The case has three button covers one on top over the sleep button and two on the side for the two volume control buttons. For me this is good but it is also bad because they are all pretty stiff right now because I just got the case. Hopefully they will loosen up.
Great color, feels like a firm case.
The bad from my perspective:
The flip back feature is not all it's cracked up to be. First the case itself has a gap on the front so it can allow the case to flip back. Not that it's that big of a deal to me as it is a very small slit. (you can barely see it in the photo, but look towards the bottom). Also the flip feature is cool but not very practical. It seems sturdy enough, but I wouldn't want to knock my phone off from wherever it is with the bottom half exposed.
The biggest problem with this case is it doesn't fit into my iHome. I know a lot of people might not have or use an iHome but I plug my phone into it every night because I have it on my nightstand. It doesn't fit with the case on so I have to take the case off. It seems to fit on all the other plugs I have including my car charger. So unless you have an iHome, not that big of deal, for me it is.
Overall I'm satisfied with the case which is why I will keep it. I like it a lot and even though it doesn't fit my iHome I can manage.

This had to be returned. The power button on the top of the iPhone 4 was depressed by the rubber cover on the case and kept powering down the phone constantly. It's too bad. The regular Speck CandyShell Case is wonderful, but I was looking forward to the docking capabilities of the flip case. Oh well. Back to the Speck CandyShell Case.

I hesitated on this case because of some reviews for this case in other colors. I'm super glad I got it, though, because it's a great case for something UNDER $10. Really, people, what do you want?
The design is slim. The leather is nothing fancy but it's not the cheapest, either. It came to me with no smell and no noticeable blemishes. The construction on this thing is very tight--the phone snaps right in there and it can be a little tough getting it in and out the first few tries. Personally, I'd rather have it be too hard than too easy, but that's me. There's no extra overhang on either side with the leather (another plus), the stitching is solid, the magnet was firmly attached, I could get at all the buttons, and the interior is nice and gentle on my phone's face.
My only real regret on this case is that it doesn't offer great drop protection. I suspected this from the photos, though, so it was no surprise. I'd like plastic around all four corners of the phone, and I'd like the plastic to extend past the face of the phone just enough to provide some protection if it gets dropped.
However, it looks so slick in there, I may just suck it up and be more careful with the phone. Not the end of the world, and the compliments are worth it.
Edit for February of 2012: Yep, just as other reviewers have observed, totally makes your photos green. I went on a little quest to find a flip case that lets me me take pristine photographs. I even went looking at some of the pricier cases. They all give some kind of tint, although (admittedly) none quite so noticeable as the green. But I love the green because it is noticeable, so I'm stuck there. And so far those other cases still lose on relative quality. Bottom line: I'd rather whip the phone out of the case for photos. So there's lots of room for improvement, but still the best (flip) I've found so far. Hey, if you find a nifty flip case, stick it in the comments section!

This case is great except for one major flaw. The hole for the camera and flash is too small. When I try to take photos at night that use flash, I get a green flare in my photos caused by the flash light reflecting off of the case into the photo. If I want to take a flash photo I have to remove the camera from the case, which is not ideal. Though I like the case and it looks great, I'm going to get a different one as this just isn't practical.

I picked this case because a few of my friends had good luck with Speck products on their phones. I also felt like I was taking a little risk since there were not a lot of reviews of the product when I purchased it. Now that I received my own, I can understand why people choose this one The case fits the phone so well, and I have yet to run into any problems with it. The camera works perfectly with it, the bottom is cut out in a way that allows me to plug in a basic syncing cable without flipping the bottom off, the mic and speaker are not covered or blocked, the case has buttons that fit perfectly (some cases will just have cut outs to access the buttons- not here), the pink and white case in particular looks awesome with my white 4s! Besides the color, its been my experience that cases don't always fit the phone as it should (where buttons may not fit right in the case, there are issues with the camera's flash, its not very solid/protective, etc.), but this speck case seemed to be well planned out. I'm glad I made the purchase!
When it comes to the other reviewer's comment about dirt collecting on the phone, I think I can understand where they are coming from. In the same way that rubber-ish material for some reason will collect little crumbs or whatever, that is the only thing I see happening with the case so far. Dusting it off wasn't a problem for me, and the phone has limited rubber anyway. In my opinion, its something to expect with rubber-like material in general.
The only recommendation I would make for those looking at this case is to also purchase a screen protector. You can probably get away without one too. But with the combination of the screen protector and this case, I'm no longer worried of my phone being damaged Which is peace of mind I think any iphone owner would appreciate :)

I am so pleased with this case for my iphone 4s (Verizon). I had been searching for a wallet case for a while and this is one of the only ones where the edges of the screen were not obstructed. The phone snaps into hard plastic edging on the right side of the case and there are two slots for credit cards, plus a larger slot behind it. It has a magnet closure. The hole for the camera is perfectly aligned. I could've spent $50 more for a similar case...while this one isn't soft, fancy leather it gets the job done and should last a long time.
I am also giving 5 stars to the seller, Yousave, who was so wonderful to send me a second case after I received the envelope from the first one with no contents (someone had clearly cut into the packaging at some point en route). Thank you, Yousave!

Price was great, but it was not aligned properly and the seams dig into the front of the phone. When I placed the phone in this item, the first thing I noticed was that the inner and outer cases were misaligned which meant that it blocked part of the camera lens cutting off corners of images or creating a flash reflection flare ruining flash-needing pictures.
When I closed it, it was a tight fit just like others had mentioned. If you have a screen protector on your phone, though, you can actually see where the seams dig into the front of the phone. Very un-nerving and a definite con for this item. The seller was great and gave a full refund at least, but this item is not worth the trouble.

This case is exactly what I was looking for...it's cute, not too bulky, and protects my phone well. It has a magnetic clasp that holds well. With the case closed, you still have access to the side and top buttons. The phone fits snugly inside, and will not fall out (in fact, it's a little tough to get it out once it's snapped into place!). My only complaint is that with the case closed, you do not have access to the charging port. With that detail changed, I would certainly give this case 5 stars!

This case is great, holds phone secure,and is easy to hold. I like the otterbox for security of my Iphone4s, however, I like fun cases too, so ordered this one to interchange with my otterbox. The quality and price are good. Would highly recommend

A great looking case for my wife's iPhone 4S. It looks functional as well as stylish. You can achieve both form and function with this one.
I also got her the Otterbox, which adds quite a bit of bulk to the phone, but it looks like a tank; I'm sure its purpose is to
be thrown around and still able to protect the phone. She will use both for different occasions, as she calls them "different housing options"
for her iPhone. I am going to get her a leather case as well (to match her expensive bags) per her "request." I think that three housing options
for her iPhone suffices.

looks great and protects very well. the flip dow doesn't really get in the way. great product. woulf highly reccomend

First of all "unbelievable low price" this was NOT catch or typo.
and this case fit perfect to Iphone 4. (not old G1, G2 case which is bigger)
It has oval hole on back (3G case has just round hole but i4 need oval hole for both camera and LED flash)
No clip (it could be con for some people but I don't clip my iphone to belt)
Not even snap hock.
flap is closed with magnet (I don't know if it affect signal or not but looks good that way)
When you put it in to your shirt pocket, it won't be bulky. it just like wallet.
protected soft cushion inside of leather on both flap and body.
it won't make too bulky. It fully protect your iphone.
I drop my old 3G three times with similar leather case and it still survive, since my friend broke his iphone face three times in 2 years.

It should be flip down instead of flip up.
I use to have flip down case for my 3GS.
This one is flip UP style.
when you make call or look screen, you have to hold flap on finger or other hand.
also, you look like one ear bunny (by phone flap) when you are making call.
If it's flip down, all you have to do is open flap and let go.
flap go down and hang. out of way to make call or touch to screen.
my old flip case was flip down and it was very easy to use but this one is flip UP and I have to hold flap by thumb or finger.
I'm still looking for flip Down leather case.
2 strips (belt) on bottom of case are covering mic and speaker.
I made hole on both of it.

Love the flip up style. I flip it up, and all the way over, and hold it as one piece. When I am in my car, I slip the top over my sunvisor and talk on speakerphone. It hangs and doesn't come off. When at my desk, I make it into an "A" frame and it stands the phone up.
I can charge it and use headphones while keeping it in the case.
Never had any service problems.
No problems whatsoever. I am ordering several more to have on hand when this one wears out.

Try to find a magnetic flip case for your iphone 4s and you won't come close to this price. I bought a pink, orange, and white one and although i had to glue the magnet back in on one of the cases they are solid and well made. I think the other reviewer may have either gotten a bad case or had expectations that were unfair. For 6 bucks this case can't be beat compared to others with its form factor. Two criticisms: One of the cases shipped to me a little creased from bad handling i presume and the case doesn't protect the top corners as well as i would have it. All in all though a good deal and because of the price i'll be ordering more. Thanks.
Edit: I've found a problem that makes this case less attractive. You cannot use the flash when taking pictures because the case causes a blur from flashback. Otherwise i'm happy.

For the price this is a good case. A little stiff at first but worth the ware-in. Simple and offers descent protection for an executive or a very controlled office environment. Works well with the iPone 4 and iPhone 4s. It is not designed to fully protect your smart phone but it is attractive, simple, inexpensive and allows fullscreen function ability.
